A sense of loyalty to TNA Wrestling played a role in Moose signing the longest-ever contract with the promotion, the World Champion has stated.
Last year, Moose re-signed with the promotion with a lengthy deal despite reported interest from WWE and All Elite Wrestling at the time.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Moose explained his reasoning for staying with TNA. He said,
“I’m a very loyal person. My relationship with Scott D’Amore, it’s more than just a boss-talent relationship. It’s almost like big brother-little brother. Number two, because I’ve made money playing over seven years in the NFL, money wasn’t a huge burden for me. In my humble opinion, I’m one of a kind so if I’m not in a spot that I deserve I should be, money is not attractive to me… I don’t want this money to be on the bench. I want to be on the field.”
At TNA Hard to Kill 2024, Moose captured the TNA World Championship from Alex Shelley. He was confronted by the debuting Nic Nemeth after the match.
