WWE SmackDown Superstar Montez Ford has opened up about his battle with body dysmorphia that dominated a significant portion of his life.

On a recent edition of “The MMA Hour” podcast, Ford recalled facing dysmorphia, a topic he has spoken about in the past. He said,

“As calm, and patient, and collected as I am, I am more hard on myself than anybody else, and I think during the time period it was just me not being satisfied in how I wanted to present the world to myself.

“The world was happy, wife was happy, family is happy, ‘You look great, you look great,’ but I think sometimes people misunderstand. If I am feeling this way, this is not the world’s fault, it’s something internally.”

Ford added that it was difficult to have “the whole world praise you” while he was not comfortable with his body.

The Street Profits member has seen significant improvement over the past year. In November, he won a body-building contest and plans to enter more.

In a recent interview on “The MMA Hour” podcast, Ford discussed his personal experience with dysmorphia, a subject he has spoken about in the past.

Ford revealed that despite appearing calm, patient, and collected on the outside, he is incredibly hard on himself internally. He explained that during the time period when he was struggling with body dysmorphia, he was not satisfied with how he presented himself to the world. Despite receiving praise from others, including his wife, family, and fans, Ford felt a deep internal dissatisfaction with his body.

The WWE superstar expressed that it was challenging to have the whole world praising him while he was not comfortable with his own appearance. This highlights the fact that body dysmorphia is an internal struggle that cannot be solved by external validation or compliments.
