On a recent episode of “The Five Count” podcast, WWE Superstar Montez Ford emerged as a guest where he discussed some potential one-on-one bouts he aspires to have in WWE. He listed LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Jey Uso as some of the wrestlers he’d enjoy sharing the squared circle with.
Here are some excerpts from the podcast:
When asked about the wrestlers he is yearning to have face-offs with in WWE, Montez Ford stated, “I’d like to do a frog splash to Bianca Belair. I think she duly deserves it. But on a serious note, I truly wish to have matches with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and the Usos. I believe we’ve never physically pinned the Usos. We’ve had victories over them, but pinning them physically is yet to be achieved. I’d definitely relish the opportunity to face them…”
Discussing his singles competition wish-list, Ford added, “In a solo contest, I’d like to face LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and an array of other wrestlers. Advancing into this phase brings lots of new challenges. But one bout that I believe would be historic would be against Jey Uso.”
WWE Superstar Bayley recently made an appearance on “The CW 39 Houston” podcast and had a chat about WWE introducing the novel Women’s United States Championship. Bayley is currently part of a tournament aiming to decide the first champion.
Here’s what Bayley contributed on this podcast:
Discussing the all-new WWE Women’s United States Title, Bayley revealed, “I didn’t advocate for it as passionately as I did for the women’s tag titles. Regarding the tag titles, we were knocking at the door each week armed with propositions and teams. I can confidently say that we were instrumental in making it happen. With this one, it’s more about my belief that our division can shoulder a secondary title like this, however, I also wanted to witness the growth of the women’s tag titles.”
And about her struggle in pushing for another solo title, Bayley conceded, “I found it challenging to appeal for another title when I was well aware that there was still a considerable amount of work needed to polish the image of the tag titles. But considering the current state of affairs, I feel it’s positioned in a favorable spot. Jade Cargill and Bianca are really uplifting the titles and we currently have a plethora of amazing tag teams. I genuinely believe that once given a chance in a tag team setting, their focus shifts to tag team wrestling. It’s a significant chunk of the show currently and Bianca and Jade deserve praise for endorsing this idea to the company and the fans.”
