In a recent one-on-one session with The Daily Star, WWE Superstar Montez Ford shared his thoughts about competing in the recent Triple Threat Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Titles on SmackDown.
Here are some noteworthy excerpts from Ford’s discussion with The Daily Star:
On his self-belief being the top-tier athlete and showman: “I regard myself the superior athlete in the domain of professional wrestling. Similarly, I consider myself the most engaging entertainer in the professional wrestling arena. I believe that I can be placed among the greatest of all time. I reckon my self-confidence is inexplicably high at the moment. It appears I am the lone one who has been persistently contending with the Bloodline and every modification of it in the past four years. The continuous struggle to subjugate this formidable faction has been mine, ably supported by Dawks, and occasionally Kevin Owens.”
Talking about Kevin Owens being slightly perturbed: “You would have noticed Kevin Owens seeming a tad unsettled recently. I’m close to feeling the same way. How frequently must I subdue another version of the Bloodline? It often feels like every time we inch closer to the Tag Team Championships, the Bloodline materializes to upset our plans. Despite the bruises and the exhaustion after the ladder match, I refuse to forget the electrifying performance I put up, which took us tantalisingly close to winning the Tag Team Championships.”
Regarding challenges from the Bloodline and #DIY: “Not just the Bloodline, but now DIY too seems to hinder our path. Regardless of our earlier association with them, and despite helping them out, they seem to be complicating our quest for the Tag Team Championships. Our kindness and assistance now seem to be construed as a sign of our vulnerability. This calls for a decisive change in our strategy.”
