Monday Night RAW Announce Team Reportedly Shaken Up Starting Tonight
As first reported by WrestleVotes and later corroborated by PWInsider, RAW may have a new announcer moving forward. Starting tonight, Tom Phillips will be joining Jerry “The King” Lawler at ringside instead of Vic Joseph. This is the second shift for the team in recent times, as Dio Madden was taken off the desk after what amounted to a trial run following the latest WWE Draft. Phillips was most recently announcing 205 Live and NXT UK, and he’s previously worked both domestic NXT and SmackDown Live.
Vic Joseph was working 205 Live and NXT UK before being called up to RAW, so it’s possible he’ll be taking on those duties once again now that Phillips is on USA Network. Phillips was on commentary during the Royal Rumble broadcast last night, which is seen as the first night of the switch.
