MJF vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, & More Set For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II

Coming out of Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, two huge title matches have been announced for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event.

Having managed to retain his AEW World Championship against Adam Cole via a time-limit draw, MJF was challenged by NJPW star Hiroshi Tanahashi.

While the Salt Of The Earth originally declined the challenge, the AEW World Title match between MJF and Tanahashi was later announced for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II.

Also on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, SANADA issued an open challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry accepted SANADA’s challenge, and the title match was confirmed for the upcoming crossover event.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II takes place on June 25, 2023, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
