During a recent interview with SI Media, Max Friedman, better known as MJF, confessed that he rather “puts up with” Taz, an announcer for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

MJF, who’s infamous for his lack of companionship and various feuds with former partners including Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, and Adam Cole, acknowledged Taz as someone he can stomach in AEW. His remarks were,

“No……you know what, I can put up with Taz. I put up with Taz. He’s a fellow Long Islander. He usually says he’s from Red Hook. But, this man has spent more time on Long Island than he has in Red Hook. He’s a true Long Islander. We get along okay. We converse about bagels, delis and diners. I can stand Taz.”

Veteran commentator Jim Ross spoke about the upcoming match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Revolution 2025. The Hurt Syndicate comprising Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin will be defending their title against The Outrunners, a team consisting of Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum.

In a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross stated that although The Outrunners are deemed the dark horses, he holds a strong belief that Lashley and Benjamin will trounce them, remarking,

“I am of the opinion that that The Hurt Syndicate will easily wipe out their opponents. As I have always maintained, they don’t get paid over time. Therefore, I firmly believe the reigning champions will uphold their title quite convincingly.”

Tony Khan, President of AEW, was assaulted in an episode of AEW Dynamite dated April 24, 2024. The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson), Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry were responsible for the attack. In the aftermath, Khan was observed wearing a neck brace at the NFL Draft.

While featuring on the “Sedano & Kap” podcast, Tony Khan shared his experience of the incident, stating,

“That incident was definitely unplanned. I was on the receiving end of the spike piledriver, the most feared move in professional wrestling. It was orchestrated by one of the most formidable tag teams of all time, the Young Bucks. With Kenny Omega, they act as the Executive Vice Presidents of the company and were trying to seize control. They wanted to dominate the business, so they brought me down. They delivered a spike piledriver on me, but I managed to survive and showed up at the NFL Draft sporting a neck brace. Sometime later, wrestlers sought retribution, a man was set ablaze. Jack Perry, the son of Hollywood luminary Luke Perry, was set alight by Darby Allin, in an attempt to defend me.”

He added, “Right at that moment, just as I was yanked from my chair with my headset still on and my shirt ripped apart and I was flung down onto the set, Darby Allin emerged with a flamethrower and set Jack Perry ablaze.”
