During a recent conversation with Justin Barrasso from Sports Illustrated, AEW International Champion, MJF, expressed his thoughts on holding AEW as its key bearer for the past half-decade and his firm opinion that the company lacks vibrancy in his absence.

MJF on being the linchpin of AEW: “I’ve single-handedly elevated this organization for five consecutive years. Everyone requires MJF. It’s as straightforward as that. The entity known AEW needs me. Luckily, they have me. Without MJF, where would this company stand? It would be plain dull. This has generated the most buzz in recent months for my organization. Acknowledge my contributions at some point, even if you’re reluctant to do so now, you will have no choice but to eventually.”
His thoughts on being the pivotal figure in the wrestling world: “I am, without a doubt, the most intriguing personality in professional wrestling. This status has been mine ever since I first wore a pair of boots. There are two categories of people: those who admit that I am arguably the most all-around talent in the history of the sport and those who pretend they have superior knowledge. They refuse to concede the reality in plain sight. For ages, there have been detractors insisting John Cena was not the undisputed blast in the field. Others claimed Randy Orton was tedious. Such individuals do exist. They are the ones who look in the mirror only to see mediocrity, and you can certainly cite me on this.”
