Bryan Danielson, an established name in the wrestling world, recently appeared on “The Nikki & Brie Show” and opened up about how his career is beginning to wind down. He discussed the transformation of wrestling from being one of his strengths to something his body no longer can handle consistently.
In the show, he emphasized that he continues to remain passionate about the sport, despite his ageing physique hindering his performance. He added, “I’m still really good at wrestling, except now my body gets hurt all the time. While I may not be able to wrestle on a week-to-week basis anymore, I can still participate and contribute to the creative process and play the role of a mentor.”
In the conversation, Danielson also mentioned how he heavily relied on veteran wrestler, William Regal – both personally and professionally. He credited Regal for his career growth, saying, “I wouldn’t have reached the place I am at currently without Regal’s mentorship. He had a significant impact on my life and career. He even assisted me in coping with my father’s struggle with alcoholism.”
In another segment, another professional wrestler MJF shared his thoughts on the recent meeting between Shane McMahon and Tony Khan on the “WrestleTalk” podcast. He humorously asked McMahon to steer clear of him for his own health, adding, “If he wants to come in, I genuinely think he’s a megastar and that’d be a huge perk for the fans and for AEW. But I would personally prefer if he stayed away.”
In the context of McMahon’s potential appearance in AEW, MJF remarked, “I thought it was super impressive how easily he tore his quad. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Let’s hope that’s not in every single facet of his life.”
