At the AEW WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view held on Saturday, Jack Perry successfully defended his TNA Championship title against Katsuyori Shibata. Perry won the match using a crafty rollup move while he was held in Shibata’s sleeper. The audience was less than thrilled following this twist – a fact that led to Perry smacking Shibata with his belt after the match, only for Daniel Garcia to come out for the assist.
The drama continued to unfold when MJF made a triumphant ring return, facing off against Garcia. The action heightened when Perry sidetracked Garcia with a surprise hit from behind, opening the floor for MJF to give Garcia a beating before launching into his promo. MJF was about to strike Garcia with his Dynamite Diamond Ring when Adam Cole made an unexpected return to the ring and drove him off.
It’s interesting to note that Adam Cole has not participated in any wrestling match since suffering a major foot injury at the AEW Grand Slam in 2023. Meanwhile, Perry, also known as “The Scapegoat,” has held his position as the TNT Championship for 105 days.
The AEW Twitter page has been abuzz with highlight clips from the match and the electrifying action that took place.
