CMLL has recently confirmed that international wrestler Mistico, formerly known as Sin Cara, will be absent from the wrestling ring for a fortnight due to an injury. His last match took place on March 22 at Eventos Kalakistico. Currently, Mistico holds the title for the MLW World Middleweight Championship.

During the current installment of “CMLL Informa,” the news broke out that Mistico would be unable to participate in a string of wrestling events. This unplanned break is attributed to injuries he’s sustained in his tricep and ankle.

The wrestler has incurred a non-complete tear in the muscles of his right tricep along with an injury to a ligament in his corresponding ankle. However, following assessments, it seems unlikely that surgical intervention will be required. He has been advised to take a well-needed rest and follow a specifically designed rehabilitation program.

Mistico’s healthcare provider, Dr. Roberto Rodriguez, has said that the estimated recuperative period is approximately two to three weeks. This implies that the luchador will have to forgo a planned appearance for MLW and a range of matches in Tijuana, Queretaro, Toluca, and Merida among other locales.

Dr. Rodriguez strongly emphasized that if Mistico insisted on returning to the wrestling scene during this period, it would significantly increase his risk of needing surgical intervention. When asked about how he sustained the injury, Mistico revealed that it happened while he was wrestling in Japan.
