During the 1980s, Missy Hyatt achieved recognition as a manager, guiding renowned wrestlers like Ric Flair, Sting, and Scott Steiner.

Recently, on the podcast “Wrestling Shoot Interviews,” she shared insights about her career and her reasons for not choosing wrestling as a career path. She also brought up an invitation from The Fabulous Moolah in 1990 to train her. She revealed,

“She suggested, ‘You need to come and let me train you to work.’ But I declined, saying, ‘No, I’m too old for that.’ And then I comprehended the significance of my words. This was before she did the stint with Mae Young and the likes.”

Hyatt added, “We were just directed to go out there and fight, which we did. Dark Journey thrashed me every night for several years. It’s taken a toll now, necessitating two new shoulders and the need for a plate and screws in my neck. I also suffer from severe sciatica. And yet, people want to call wrestling fake? It certainly wasn’t for me.”

On a recent episode of the “Under the Ring” podcast, Je’Von Evans discussed the dynamics of his relationship with WWE NXT World Champion Trick Williams and their mutual mentorship.

The wrestlers Evans, Shawn Spears, and Ethan Page are all set to face Williams at the upcoming NXT Heatwave 2024 event.

Je’Von reflected, True, he’s my brother. I remember approaching him during my audition, extending him a handshake, assuming he was oblivious about who I was. But he knew. He said, ‘I know who you are bro, just be yourself. Turn up.’ From that moment, our bond has been strong. We often seek each other’s counsel. He’s had an admirable reign, battling for that title. His victory brought joy to everyone behind the scenes. I embraced him and told him, ‘Hey, it’s your time.’ He humbly replied, ‘No, it’s your time or your time is near.’ I insisted, ‘It’s not about me today, I want you to relish this because once I get it…’ [laughs]”
