Mina Shirakawa’s long-cherished dream of facing Mercedes Mone in the ring is soon to become a reality as they’re poised to duel in the near future.
The wrestling pair is slated for a heated face-off at the highly-anticipated Wrestle Dynasty event come January 5. Stakes are high as both Mone’s prized AEW TBS title and Mina’s renowned RevPro British Women’s Championship are to be contested.
In an interview with Proresu-TODAY that was interpreted using DeepL, Shirakawa gave us a glimpse of the significance this match holds for her by saying,
“For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed about a match with Mercedes Mone. Our paths crossed as friends in another organization before… Now, what I aim for is to embrace triumph in front of my loyal Japanese supporters in epic arenas like the Tokyo Dome.”
The TBS Championship is securely under Mone’s guard since her first match in AEW during the Double or Nothing event back in May.
Counted as the seventh woman to claim the RevPro Women’s title, Shirakawa has successfully maintained her reign since August 2024.
