Professional AEW wrestler, Mike Bennett, has recently shared about his personal adversities during his stint with WWE, as well as his recovery and progress since then.
In 2017, Bennett made his entrance into WWE, accompanied by his wife Maria. Maria had previously been associated with the organization. Unfortunately, both of them were among the many who were dismissed in April 2020.
In response to a comment on Twitter by a fan, where the fan suggested that Bennett did not progress in WWE as substantially as many had anticipated, Bennett responded.
I was addicted to pain killers when I got to WWE. I let myself and everyone else down. It’s not a matter of who’s right and who’s wrong. It was a matter of me not living up to my full potential and messing up, majorly.
That being said i’m incredibly grateful that happened.… https://t.co/gJdS36QKEr— Mike Bennett (@RealMikeBennett) September 20, 2024
Post his ventures with WWE, Bennett marked his return to independent wrestling and Ring of Honor, before making his debut with AEW on the October 14, 2022 show of Rampage.
At present, Bennett is competing as a part of the Undisputed Kingdom and has secured the ROH (Ring of Honor) World Tag Team Championships alongside Matt Taven.
