Fans were taken by surprise on Monday night when WWE Raw went off air with the unexpected return of the character Uncle Howdy, brought to life by Bo Dallas. The audience was also introduced to Wyatt Sicks, a new faction featuring real-life interpretations of the characters Ramblin’ Rabbit, Huskus The Pig, Mercy The Buzzard, and Abby The Witch, personified by Nikki Cross.
Mika Rotunda, sister to Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy, shared her thoughts on their debut on her Instagram account, saying:
“Drilling into his character, Windham broached upon suffering many times. His attempt was to delineate real-life ache and scenarios to sharpen, motivate and mould his future. His creative trait transformed this pain into a positive value.
Yesterday, Taylor, for the first time, stepped up as Uncle Howdy in the absence of Windham. This was their concocted dream and vision, a fairytale they desired to realize. He outpoured his heart and soul into it. Our brothers, we share a powerful emotional bond. Watching the event on TV as the lights flashed off in the arena, my heart pounded and eyes swelled up. I empathized with him while also feeling a warmth that Windham alone can provide. I am full of immense pride for Taylor.
Memorializing a love one like Windham or any other while maneuvering through grief is a deep and personal voyage. Since that fateful moment at 3:33pm on August 24th, a time which we as a family will never forge, our inner world has been made visible to the world.
How does one tackle grief?
In my perspective, it’s manifested in our everyday lives. And establishing methods to commemorate their life and legacy, even amidst the agony of their absence.
For Windham, it’s through the art of storytelling. He was indeed the finest storyteller I had the privilege to know. On our sorrowful days, it’s our role to continue expressing his brilliance and eccentricity.
This act is a testament from our family to the extent of his love and ours for him.
Fastening to Windham’s tribute can bring solace and vitality. We experience pain and we heal from it.
Doing so, we keep their spirit alive and find comfort in the impression they left on our lives.-
A huge shout out to @robfee11 and @bakingjason for their magical work behind the curtains. You guys are phenomenal!
Windham, wish you were still with us. Love you more.”
