In his recent guest appearance on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, MJF discussed the encounter with a young fan, Mia Liszewski, during his AEW Dynamite 250 match against Will Ospreay.
Reflecting on the bold young fan who struck him: “All of a sudden, a girl pulls out a gun. I’m not sure if you could see the weapon when rewatching the match, but she held me at gunpoint before proceeding to repeatedly strike my chest. Honestly, I didn’t feel the blows because I’m muscular, with a chest as big as a Dodge Ram truck.”
His reaction to the young fan’s interference: “So, my reaction was to give her the finger, which, in my opinion, was completely justified. Anyone else would have done the same. Then, Ospreay decided to spring an ambush from the rear, just as I was responding to this aggressive act. Instances like these with young girls are reminders of why the topic of abortion is so pertinent.”
Despite Liszewski’s disruption during the match, MJF triumphed over Will Ospreay, winning the AEW American Championship (also known as AEW International Championship) in less than an hour.
MJF is set to defend his championship title against Ospreay at the AEW All In: London event on Sunday, August 25.
