Mercedes Mone, in a recent interview with WFAN, revealed that she managed to sustain a “strong bond” with the now-controversial ex-WWE and TKO Chairman, Vince McMahon. This revelation comes after Mone quit WWE before the May 16, 2022 episode of RAW. Mone recalled,
“I maintained an exceptional rapport with Vince McMahon. I have a feeling that Bayley and I practically dominated the pandemic age, which was a time when our bond truly solidified. He knew he could rely on us and have faith in us. He even gave me the chance to headline WrestleMania 37, a significant dream of mine, so massive that I hadn’t even considered it plausible.”
On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa shared her thoughts on the recent nuptials of WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley and AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews. She speculated on the impact of this development on the WWE’s current narrative involving Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. She remarked,
“We’re not retaining ‘super kayfabe’ like in the yesteryears of the 1980s or ’90s. Some people perceive this as a job, while others don’t see it that way. Except in the case of genuine animosity, the notion of kayfabe, I believe, is nearly obsolete. People manage their personal lives in different ways. Some are comfortable with publicizing everything. Others prefer privacy. I still think it will work out. There’s always room for an extra character.”
