During a recent episode of his podcast, “What Happened When”, AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone spoke highly of ex-AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, labelling him among the finest professionals he’s ever had the pleasure to work with.
Some noteworthy remarks from the podcast include:
On Samoa Joe: ”To me, Samoa Joe is among the most professional individuals I’ve ever collaborated with. Whenever asked to attend an interview or do a pre-tape, Joe is always ready. Some individuals tend to go missing when needed, but not Joe. He’s ever the professional and I have a lot of respect for him.”
On Joe’s contributions: “I can count on my fingers the few who come close to him. Besides offering superb matches, his physical strength, agility, and toughness, despite his size, are commendable. He’s a hard worker and I have a lot of respect for him.”
In a different podcast, “Battleground”, AEW competitor and TBS Champion Mercedes Mone shared her experience at AEW and expressed that her financial status has significantly improved upon joining the organization.
Here are a couple of highlights from that podcast:
Regarding her influence in AEW: ”Ever since my time at AEW began, my financial gains have skyrocketed. There is a growing list of women eager to simply be in my company. At the moment, I’m in my locker room, where there is a security guard and a queue of women eager to connect with me.”
Regarding the queue of women: ”I have to politely remind them to wait as I have to address others first. Yes, there are ample opportunities to earn money. However, I’m quite occupied, so they need to have patience. Before I can interact with them, I need to observe their capabilities and see what they’ve got.”
