Mercedes Mone relished the chance to train with Indi Hartwell and Harley Cameron this week, she expressed her views on the experience in her fan newsletter.
As reported earlier on eWn, Hartwell posted a snap of the trio during their training, with Mone sharing her feelings about the session in her “Mone Mag” newsletter.
A snippet from her newsletter can be read below:
“Birthday Surprises and Workout Sessions with Harley Cameron & Indi Hartwell,
This week I dropped by the AEW school with Indi Hartwell and Harley Cameron where she caught me off guard with a lovely pre-birthday present! I had a laugh, reminding her my birthday was in January, however, I was touched by the thoughtful action. She has definitely gained my admiration and turned me into a fan! These are the moments that truly highlight the unique aspect of the wrestling community.
Additionally, I extended an invitation to Indi Hartwell to join in the AEW workout session. I was searching for someone who was tall, robust, and could embody the energy of Kris Statlander, and Indi was it. Her noteworthy presence in the ring along with her dynamism keeps things thrilling!
Training Highlights: Flatbacks, Lucha moves, & Harley’s Standout Moment
I had previously trained at Tyler Breeze’s school, Flatbacks where I bumped into Harley Cameron, so I invited her over to the AEW academy the next day. It was fantastic to share the ring with such formidable women. Kalisto, my best friend, also joined us to coach us some Lucha techniques which added a fun twist to the session.
But the most unforgettable part was watching Harley channel her inner La Luchadora! She executed moves she had never attempted before, walking on ropes, flipping off the top rope, all mind-boggling progress. I am eagerly looking forward to how she’ll incorporate these new skills into her future AEW fights. Truly an unforgettable training.”
Freddie Prinze Jr. predicted a new TNT Champion to be crowned at AEW Full Gear 2024.
The current champ Jack Perry is set to defend his title against Daniel Garcia in the coming Saturday’s event. Prinze gave his opinion on his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast, saying Garcia has what it takes to win.
Prinze stated, “This is not an easy pick, but I believe it’s Daniel Garcia’s time. He will not be defeated, he is going to win this match, and become your new TNT [Champion].”
He further added, “He will receive his first title in AEW. He will be the TNT Champion. He can be a babyface who endures a lot of punishment and finally emerges victorious, unlike Jack Perry who is a villain and thus needs to grapple with his evil side. People don’t want to see him endure punishment and then bounce back. They just want to see him get defeated, so I’m betting on Daniel Garcia.”
