Mercedes Mone, AEW TBS Champion, has carved a significant niche for herself in the realm of wrestling, and according to the head honcho, there are grand designs for a career outside the wrestling square.
She revealed her future ambitions in a column she penned for The Independent this week, expressing her intention to conquer multiple sectors. In her own words,
“I’m going to take every other industry by storm, the same way I did professional wrestling. Music, acting, clothing, make-up, podcasting – you name it, I’m going to take it over.”
Mone’s foray beyond wrestling is already marked with achievement; she portrayed Koska Reeves in the popular Disney+ series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
Interesting to note that while Mone remains focused on diversifying her career, she still has her sights set on remarkable milestones within wrestling. As the holder of TBS Championship and the CMLL Women’s Title, she has a distinct vision for her progression in wrestling.
“I’m going to make sure that women’s wrestling continues to flourish. I’m here to emphasize the fact that we cannot be dismissed or overlooked. I’ve created space not just for myself, but for every proficient woman who graces the ring – and this Sunday at All In, we’re going to establish just how irreplaceable we are.”
This weekend, at AEW All In: London 2024, Mone will be defending her TBS Championship against opponent Britt Baker. This much-anticipated match is set to take place at the famous Wembley Stadium.
