In a recent visit to the “Ring The Belle” podcast, Kris Statlander talked about her experience with the AEW women’s division and her appreciation for being included in it.

Statlander is preparing to compete against Mercedes Mone for the TBS Title at the upcoming AEW Full Gear 2024, slated for November 23.

In her words, “It’s amazing, indeed. We now get multiple matches per show. This, I think, is due to the fact that a growing number of women continue to elevate their game consistency and demonstrate immense effort. We always have to prove ourselves, and we’re succeeding at it. We’re showing that we’re one of the most exciting components of every show we participate in. It’s extremely humbling and honoring to be a part of it…I want to put on an impressive performance with everyone I can. I haven’t wrestled many girls and I aim to compete against every single one of them as soon as possible, I don’t understand the delay.”

In another recent interview with the “Battleground” podcast, Mercedes Mone voiced her praise for AEW President Tony Khan, citing his practical approach to collaboration. She also discussed how their teamwork has evolved since she became part of AEW.

Her words were, “It’s been awesome. However, sometimes I still don’t have a clear idea about my week to week tasks because Tony [Khan] is always occupied. But once I arrive, he’s approachable, and if something does not sit well with me, we can find a workaround. He’s very open to creating and has a passion for shaping AEW. So far, the experience has been wonderful.”
