After her successful match at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, Mercedes Mone spoke about the pleasure she felt regarding both the contest and its result.
Last weekend, Mone made her in-ring debut for AEW, successfully earning the TBS Championship title against opponent Willow Nightingale.
In a recent conversation with the sports media outlet, TMZ Sports, Mone opened up about her match experience.
Her words were filled with emocion, “Willow was the one who caused my injury a year back, taking me out of action for an entire year. The medical team doubted if I could return to wrestling, but I stood my ground, stating that wrestling is my life, my dream, which no one could take away. Hence, I struggled passionately to return, especially since Willow had something I longed for. And I told her that financial gains can alter every aspect. The previous Sunday at Double or Nothing, we took center stage and absolutely nailed our performance. She is unequivocally one of the best opponents I’ve ever faced in the wrestling ring. I am definitely excited for another match with her.”
