Maxxine Dupri says she has no time for fans who criticize her as she continues to learn the professional wrestling business.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “Wellness Her Way” podcast, the Alpha Academy member commented on what she would tell her younger self, paying less attention to criticism online, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On what she would tell her younger self: “If there was something that I could tell myself prior, I have two. If it was prior, it would be to trust the process. It’s so easy to get sucked into overthinking every little thing and trying to dissect how to get to the next level, when really, I couldn’t have planned how my fate worked out. It just happened and I was what they needed at that time. Even though I was injured, they were able to call me up, which is rare, but if it’s meant for you, it’s meant for you, and it’s not going to pass you. Trusting the process is one. Second one, which is what I’m really working on now, so I’m more saying this for myself, is not putting so much value on other people’s opinions of you and remembering what I was placed here to do. My job is to make people smile and enjoy what I’m doing and continue to get better. I can’t place so much value on what other people think of me all the time.”

On paying less attention to criticism online: “What I’ve started doing is not scrolling as much. I used to scroll a lot, scroll through comments, and see what people were saying. Why do I need to? I don’t need to. If there is something I need to see, I’ll see it at some point. I don’t need to scroll and search. It’s not necessary. For one, it’s not even looking for it. For two, something that I like to practice and I hope everyone else can practice, just comment kind things on people’s posts. If I see something I like, I comment something kind. Let me contribute kindness to someone else’s post, and eventually, that will all circle back.”

Maxxine Dupri, a rising star in the professional wrestling business, recently spoke out about her approach to handling criticism from fans. In a recent episode of the “Wellness Her Way” podcast, Dupri shared her thoughts on what she would tell her younger self, the importance of trusting the process, and the need to pay less attention to online criticism.

One of the key pieces of advice Dupri would give her younger self is to trust the process. She emphasizes that it’s easy to get caught up in overthinking and trying to plan every step of one’s career. However, she believes that fate plays a significant role and that opportunities will come when they are meant to. Dupri’s own experience of being called up despite being injured serves as a reminder that sometimes things work out in unexpected ways.

Another aspect Dupri addresses is the value placed on other people’s opinions. She acknowledges that it can be tempting to seek validation from others and worry about what they think. However, she emphasizes the importance of focusing on her own purpose and what she was placed on this earth to do. For Dupri, that purpose is to make people smile and enjoy her performances. She encourages others to remember their own goals and not let external opinions hold them back.

In terms of dealing with criticism online, Dupri has adopted a new approach. She has made a conscious effort to reduce the amount of time she spends scrolling through comments and seeking out negative feedback. Instead, she chooses to focus on spreading kindness and positivity. Dupri believes that by contributing kind comments on other people’s posts, she can create a positive cycle where kindness is reciprocated.

By sharing her own experiences and insights, Maxxine Dupri offers valuable advice for aspiring wrestlers and anyone facing criticism in their chosen field. Trusting the process, staying true to one’s purpose, and focusing on spreading positivity are all key elements in navigating the challenges that come with pursuing a career in professional wrestling or any other industry.
