“Platinum” Max Caster has returned to All Elite Wrestling.

According to live reports from Wednesday’s All Elite Wrestling TV tapings in Chicago, Max Caster returned and will make an appearance on the next episode of AEW Dark. (*Spoilers about the appearance at the bottom of this post)

Caster had been absent from AEW programming since his controversial rap that aired on the August 3 episode of Dark, which featured references to Olympic star Simone Biles’ mental health issues and the 2006 Duke lacrosse rape incident, among other questionable references. Caster’s rap was later edited off of the broadcast and re-uploaded to YouTube.

Since then, Caster was pulled from appearing on TV and his status was a subject of speculation. Caster removed all references to the company from his social media profiles, but he was believed to still be on the roster and waiting for negative publicity to die down. F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer also reported Caster was sent to sensitivity training in response to the incident. AEW has not commented publicly on the incident aside from Tony Khan calling Caster’s lyrics “terrible” and added that the oversight led to him now taking over editing duties for AEW Dark and Elevation.

Prior to tonight’s appearance, Caster had booked a non-wrestling appearance in Chicago at the Bottom Lounge on W. Lake St. for a solo show this weekend.

*Max Caster returned to assist “The Acclaimed” teammate Anthony Bowens in winning his match against Griff Garrison at the tapings. The match is scheduled to air on September 7.
