Maven Huffman, an ex-WWE Superstar, was briefly deliberated to be a potential Evolution team member before the plans altered their course.
Maven recounted his experience of being tipped to join the group led by Triple H in his recent conversation with “Wrestling Shoot Interviews.” He said,
“I did have one of the writers come by and tell me that ‘Hey your name’s in this hat.’ Then I never heard anything else about it. I know they went out and started shooting the vignettes with [Mark] Jindrak. If anybody was considered for it, it was Jindrak.”
In addition to this, Maven averred that Jindrax wouldn’t have been an unsuitable choice for the team, remarking that he and Shelton Benjamin were the most agile athletes of that period.
Evolution, which comprised of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista, were the unrivalled champions of Monday Night RAW from 2003 to 2005.
In an episode of RAW aired in 2004, Huffman was given an opportunity to join Evolution on the condition that he surrender his World Title match for that evening against Triple H.
Maven also recently spoke about struggling with the feelings of being an imposter during his stint with WWE. Click here for more on what he divulged in this context.
