Maven – ‘It’s Good And Bad With Vince McMahon’ + Cole Custer Talks WWE NXT Debut

During a recent feature on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the ex-WWE Superstar Maven Huffman shared his personal experiences including the “ups and downs” while working under McMahon.

Here are some key points from the panel:

On his interactions with Vince McMahon: “As Coachman revealed, he only declined Vince once in 13 years, and I wasn’t even aware that declining was an option. Whatever Vince instructed, was effectively the rule. I crossed him once, just before we were about to go on a long break. For wrestlers, a longer break could mean just a few extra days at home. Post an average match, right before this break, he confronted me. He was furious and told me, ‘During your break, you need to decide if you want to stay here.’”

His perspective on Vince McMahon: “Vince can be tough, but he also has a softer side. For instance, when my mother passed after a three-year fight against cancer, I received a call from Vince, not his secretary, expressing his condolences. So he has his highs and lows.”

In the latest episode of WWE NXT, NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Cole Custer made a special appearance, contributing to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger’s match with OTM, and later danced with Lola Vice.

In a “Digital Exclusive” after NXT, Custer expressed how “incredible” the experience was.

Check out some key highlights from the interview:

His NXT experience: “This has been an incredible experience. Getting acquainted with Hank, Tank and everyone else involved was a unique opportunity. The talent of these guys is amazing. Understanding their craft was beyond belief. It’s great to be associated with them and see them on the hood this weekend.”

NXT featured on his race car: “We’ll be racing in Homestead, Miami this weekend, and our car has NXT branded on it. With Trick Williams on the hood, it’s an intriguing connection between CW and NXT. This exceptional experience makes me look forward to returning.”
