At the 2021 WWE Crown Jewel event, wrestlers Randy Orton and Matt Riddle defended their RAW Tag Team Titles against adversaries AJ Styles and Omos. In a unique turn of events, Riddle chose to make his entrance on a camel, creating a memorable spectacle.
However, on an episode of the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, Riddle recounted how WWE boss Vince McMahon insisted on avoiding such an entrance for Randy Orton. Riddle shared McMahon’s rationale,
“I recall an incident during our stint in Saudi, where I arrived atop a camel, prompting Randy to express his desire for a similar entrance. Eagerly, I thought, ‘Sure, Randy would look great on a camel.’ However, Vince vetoed the idea promptly, his explanation being, ‘Your character is not suited for a camel ride.’ It was a simplistic reason, but it made sense.”
Despite successfully retaining their titles at the event, Orton and Riddle eventually lost to the Alpha Academy a few months later but managed to reclaim their titles in 2022.
Riddle, despite his departure from WWE in the previous year, maintains his aspiration to partner with his former RK-Bro comrade again. For more information, follow this link.
