For several years, Matt Riddle was a key player on the wrestling stage under the WWE banner, led by Vince McMahon. However, after leaving the arena as a former U.S. Champion, Riddle has expressed interest in returning to the same.
Earlier in the calendar year, speculations commenced about McMahon’s intentions to pioneer a new wrestling establishment, contingent upon the resolution of his legal disagreements with Janel Grant.
As shared by Conrad Thompson, insiders claim that McMahon had interactive sessions with professional camera crew members adept in documenting pro-wrestling bouts.
In a freshly aired episode of the “Going Ringside” podcast, Riddle entertained thoughts of once again gracing McMahon’s wrestling stage. He said,
“Word came down the line that Vince might be starting a new enterprise… I’m open to all, my friend. As a freelance worker, my work is no longer exclusively with WWE, and I possess the freedom to render my services wherever, whenever and at my own price.”
Riddle’s departure from WWE in September 2023 caught quite a few off guard as it happened in the wake of the initial batch of talent reductions after the TKO Group was launched.
Although these sacking were chalked up to budgetary reasons, Riddle was no stranger to controversy, which seemingly had an impact on the decision of his exit.
