Matt Riddle Defeats Dillain Kain, Earns NXT Title Shot Against Adam Cole Next Week
After last week’s planned street fight between Matt Riddle and Killian Dain ended in a chaotic fight between the entire NXT roster, they were determined to see each other again. This time, though, the winner would be getting a shot at the NXT Championship. Thanks to the added stakes, Matt Riddle made sure to take full advantage of the opportunity, coming away with a major victory and guaranteeing himself a match against Adam Cole.

In a match that closed out the first hour of NXT’s television broadcast, Riddle and Dain went all out in an attempt to secure a victory. Unfortunately for Dain, though, it was a series of powerbombs from Riddle that weakened him just enough to be taken down. After Riddle had Dain down on the ground, Riddle locked in an armbar, and after a moment of holding it, was able to get Dains arm even higher off the ground, forcing him to tap out.

After the victory, Adam Cole made his way down to the ring to taunt Riddle, but was also the victim of an arm bar. Riddle quickly trapped the champion in an arm bar, and as Cole tapped out, Riddle quickly escaped the ring just as the rest of the Undisputed Era made their way down.
Now, Riddle and Cole will have a match next week, as NXT moves to a full two-hour broadcast on television. For a look at the confirmed matches for next week, check out below:
