On a recent episode of the “Going Ringside” podcast, ex-WWE star Matt Riddle shared his experiences collaborating with big names in the WWE, including Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Sheamus.
In response to a question about who his most challenging rivals were, Riddle highlighted Sheamus. He characterized Sheamus as a powerhouse competitor who, despite his tough blows, was an effortless partner in the ring. He conveyed,
“The most difficult adversary I’ve faced in the ring? That would have to be Sheamus. Sheamus is someone who’s straightforward to work with, but he packs a punch. So, he was the most challenging in the ring.”
However, Riddle specified that he had a harder time communicating with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, indicating,
“In terms of who’s more difficult to cooperate with, I’d say Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens… Trying to form a full sentence with those guys is a challenge, if you get my drift… It’s considerably tough. Despite his powerful hits, it’s effortless to collaborate with Sheamus.”
Riddle also took the opportunity to poke fun at Goldberg on the same episode of the podcast, saying,
“My preferred nickname for him is Willie G. Willie G, you’re living it up in your huge Texas mansion. Your bank balance clearly surpasses mine, especially after my dismissal from the WWE. But let’s face facts, my man — I’d take you down 10 times over, maybe even 11, in a heartbeat. You know it, as do your kids, your entire family, and the whole universe.”
