At Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing event from Las Vegas, The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) beat The Elite (Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page).

In the match, Matt Jackson hit Moxley with an exploding superkick. There were thumbtacks also used as Matt was sent barefoot into it and had tacks in his mouth before taking an uppercut.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matt came up with the idea a month ago.

Meltzer wrote, “He wanted to do something that hadn’t been done and to do so he had to get a Nevada State Fire Performers license that other entertainment acts in Las Vegas using things like that as part of the show have to get.”
