On a recent episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”, TNA veteran Matt Hardy shared his insights about the creative storyline revolving around The Wyatt Sicks in WWE.
In this edition of the podcast, he talked about the following highlights:
Speaking about Uncle Howdy’s interview with members of The Wyatt Sicks, Matt Hardy shared that it was a smart strategic move to have Erik Rowan’s interview as the first release. Hardy added, “This made it emotional, allowed audiences to feel invested, and helped showcase the pain and motivations of these real-life characters. You sense how he really felt — his emotions were deep and poignant, especially with the unfathomable loss of two of his closest friends, Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt. The authenticity evident in this portrayal gives his character a depth that appeals to the audience.”
Discussing how the group has been booked so far, Hardy commended the execution. He described the imposing presence they have when their music begins, the lights go off, and the captivating cinematic effects take over. He said, “I think they’ll initially be viewed as the good guys, as the audience empathizes with them, despite their intimidating appearances.”
Commenting on an event where Bo Dallas is seen laughing while being attacked in a Raw storyline, Hardy said that this incident was a deeper exploration into who Bo Dallas is as a person. He observed, “It’s almost as if Bo Dallas is at a point where he has nothing else to lose. ’You’re gonna beat me up? What are you going to kill me? I’ve lost my brother, my hero. You can’t hurt me any more than that hurt me.’”
