Bryan Danielson, the esteemed American wrestler, has publicly stated that his days as a full-time wrestler approach their closure. Matt Hardy, another distinguished personality from the wrestling world, has proposed his own vision regarding who should retire Danielson.
Last year, Danielson stated that he would be spending his last year as a full-time performer, aiming to uphold a promise made to his family.
In one of the recent episodes of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” Hardy offered an intriguing perspective on who should end Danielson’s career. He stated,
“I firmly believe that Hangman [Page] would shine as a heel. There’s no denying his ferocity on stage. He depicts a terrible and malicious individual incredibly well, and it would be thrilling to see him retire Danielson, even possibly snatch the title. It could lead back to the plot twist with Swerve, and the audience would already be deeply invested in it.”
During the AEW All Out 2024 headlining event held at Hoffman Estates, Page emerged victorious over Swerve Strickland in a thrilling Lights Out Steel Cage match.
The awe-inspiring event also witnessed Danielson successfully retaining his AEW World Championship title against Jack Perry. However, post-match, he came under attack from Jon Moxley.
