“I’m good friends with Ric, I’ve always gotten along well with him. It’s really interesting. Honest to god, I just expected Ric was there through Sting’s final match and his retirement, which is what, four months? I figured that was the run that Ric was gonna do, and then he would be finished. He’s doing something with his Woooo! Energy drink as well.”

He continued, “But lo and behold, he has signed for years, so it’s gonna really interesting to see how that very opinionated and very outspoken AEW fanbase react to him as time goes on. It’s gonna’ be really, really interesting.”

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair Joins All Elite Wrestling
In a surprising announcement on Thursday, it was revealed that legendary professional wrestler Ric Flair has signed a two-year contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Flair, a WWE Hall of Famer, will also see his Wooooo! Energy drink become the official energy drink of AEW. This move has generated a lot of excitement among wrestling fans and has sparked discussions about how Flair’s presence will be received by the AEW fanbase.
Matt Hardy, another prominent wrestler in AEW, recently shared his thoughts on Ric Flair’s AEW debut during an episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy.” Hardy expressed his surprise at Flair’s decision to sign a multi-year contract with the company, as he had initially expected Flair to be involved for a shorter period. Hardy also mentioned that Flair will be promoting his Wooooo! Energy drink alongside his wrestling appearances.
However, what has caught the attention of many is Hardy’s speculation about how the opinionated and outspoken AEW fanbase will react to Flair’s presence in the company. AEW has cultivated a passionate and vocal fanbase that often expresses their opinions on various aspects of the promotion. Flair’s signing brings an iconic figure from the past into the mix, which could potentially create a divide among fans.
It remains to be seen how AEW fans will respond to Ric Flair’s involvement in the promotion. Some may view it as an exciting addition to the roster, appreciating Flair’s legendary status and contributions to the wrestling industry. Others may have reservations, questioning whether Flair’s style and persona align with the direction AEW is taking.
Regardless of the fan reactions, Ric Flair’s presence in AEW is undoubtedly a significant development for the promotion. Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and has had a storied career spanning several decades. His charisma, in-ring skills, and larger-than-life personality have made him a beloved figure among wrestling fans worldwide.
AEW has been making waves in the wrestling industry since its inception in 2019, offering an alternative to WWE with a focus on athleticism, storytelling, and a more edgy product. The addition of Ric Flair adds further star power to their roster and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that can benefit the younger talent in the promotion.
As wrestling fans eagerly await Ric Flair’s debut in AEW, it is clear that his presence will bring a new dynamic to the promotion. Whether fans embrace him with open arms or express their reservations, one thing is certain – Flair’s impact on AEW will be significant, and his legacy in professional wrestling will continue to grow.
