Matt Hardy has shared his take on how AEW should have used the infamous footage featuring CM Punk’s backstage brawl with Jack Perry.

The footage from behind the scenes at All In 2023 was featured during an April episode of AEW Dynamite following comments made by Punk on “The MMA Hour” podcast.

On a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy gave an idea that had been suggested to him by his wife Reby. He said,

“She wished there would have been commentary over it, as opposed to just kind of like quiet, still footage. They could have almost described it more, which could have put it more in the Jack Perry narrative … actually take his side of the argument.”

AEW’s on-screen reasoning for airing the footage is that the Young Bucks wanted to explain their loss to FTR at All In and said the fight left them unable to prepare for the match.
