In a recent episode of his popular podcast “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” renowned TNA veteran Matt Hardy expressed his views on Ethan Page’s loss of the WWE NXT World Championship to Trick Williams. Additionally, Hardy delved into the significant value and responsibility carried by anyone taking on the mantle of a champion.
During his discussion, Hardy touched upon the following important topics:
On Ethan Page losing the NXT Championship, Hardy said, “He had a successful tenure. Page’s rise to stardom was quite rapid and it’s commendable to see him flourish post his transition from AEW to NXT. I strongly believe this is just the beginning for Page.”
Assessing if Page’s stint with the NXT title improved him as a performer, Hardy opined, “Page’s rapidly growing prominence emphasizes the trust the company placed in him by handing him the NXT title. It’s apparent that he is a reliable asset to the company. The fact that your employers have such a high degree of faith in you is indeed a big deal.”
Regarding the role of a champion, Hardy commented, “The role of a champion carries substantial responsibility. You are the face of the brand you’re representing. Right from media interactions to your television appearances, it’s crucial to give your best as you are the brand’s ambassador.”
In another development, QT Marshall declared on social media his intention to challenge A.J. Befumo from the Costco Guys. A video was shared on AEW’s official account where Marshall is seen laying down the challenge for the former indie wrestler, who is known as Eric Justice. Marshall promises to leave Befumo humiliated.
