TNA Wrestling recently welcomed back Tessa Blanchard during their Final Resolution 2024 event. This marked the start of a new feud between Blanchard and Jordynne Grace before Grace’s planned exit in early 2025.
Back in 2020, Blanchard and TNA had a significant disagreement which led to TNA stripping her of her world title. She was later dismissed for declining to relinquish the title as per the demand of the company.
The return of Blanchard to the TNA was a topic of conversation in Matt Hardy’s recent podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”. According to Hardy, it had been communicated in advance to all those working with Blanchard about her comeback in the company.
Moreover, Hardy added, Blanchard was willing to converse with anyone backstage who might have had issues with her.
Highlights from Hardy’s discussion are listed below:
Commenting on Tessa Blanchard’s comeback to TNA, Hardy stated, “Certainly, there were reactions online and even people in the room with me in person. Some had reservations due to past issues, but we were all given a heads-up about her return. From what I’ve gathered, they have been keeping a close watch on Tessa, paying attention to her professional behavior and performance on the job. So far, the feedback seems quite positive. Tessa also was open to discussing any past conflicts with any team member. I believe, as a society, we must offer second or even third chances where people are genuinely trying to mend their ways and get their lives back on track, particularly in pro wrestling.”
When asked about Blanchard’s contract status with TNA, Hardy remarked, “It’s still under negotiation. It appears they’re trying to handle things professionally and correctly.”
