In a recent episode of the “Extreme Life” podcast, Matt Hardy shared his thoughts on the career trajectory of WWE NXT champion, Ethan Page. Below are some of the highlights culled from the podcast episode.
Discussing the staging of a WWE NXT episode at the ECW Arena, Hardy said, “I thought it was impressive how they incorporated tributes to original ECW stars. The ambiance of the entire setting was fantastic. There was an instance when I missed the start of the show, then I spotted our friend Sean, SRS, sharing the opening clip, and it was sensational. It cleverly mixed both vintage ECW footage and current NXT stars in a unique format and style. Overall, the show was excellently executed.”
When expressing his views on Ethan Page’s prospective future in WWE, Hardy stated, “Big congrats to Ethan Page. He deserves applauds for believing in himself, venturing out of his comfort zone, and consequently earning a spot in NXT, WWE. He’s successfully built a name for himself, performing extraordinarily well. I believe his journey is far from over, as I envision a much higher rank for him in WWE.
He went on to add, “In my opinion, his future shines bright either on RAW or SmackDown as a top-tier player. Although I wouldn’t say that he’s a consistent headline-maker, he’s an absolute entertainer who fully comprehends what WWE represents — a wider implication of professional wrestling. In a realm where entertainment meets impressive match plays, storytelling, character development, and fan engagement, Page excels exceptionally well. I’m confident in his skills, athletic ability, and drive to reach greater heights in the main roster.”
