Matt Hardy posted his latest episode of “Thoughts From The Throne” to talk to fans about the ongoings of The Royal Rumble and started off by addressing people being bristled by Brock Lesnar’s dominant first half of the Rumble match.
“I just think Brock Lesnar was being Brock Lesnar and if they were going to make a big deal about the champion entering the match and being number one, he certainly had to be impactful so that didn’t bother me at all,” said Hardy. He adds that the talent Lesnar eliminated weren’t being buried stating, “I mean it doesn’t really do any damage to them. It wasn’t a scenario that buried them in any way shape or form.” Matt says that doing that therein built Brock so he could be taken out by Drew McIntyre, creating a new top star in the process.
Matt had some very glowing remarks about Drew, saying that he was shocked when McIntyre initially got released by WWE and really pushed him to be a main star in TNA during his run there. Now he’s happy Drew has the opportunity to do so once again in WWE.
“I think he’s a guy that would make a great champion and he’s a guy that the company can build around. I definitely think he’s a cornerstone of any company he’s in.”
Another interesting item that Matt addressed were fans questioning as if age should be a factor when pushing talent:
“If you can still go in the ring, if you’re still entertaining, and you’re still good and you have a lot to contribute to the show on a full-time basis age is irrelevant. Talent is is what’s relevant. If you’re talented you should be utilized to the best of your ability.”

Plenty more from this as Matt talks about the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter and the other passengers that were on the helicopter along with some Q&A from Twitter:
“In #TFTT 25, I give my thoughts on the 2020 Royal Rumble, including Edge’s return & Drew McIntyre winning, as well as discuss the age factor that people sometimes criticize with pushes. I also answer a Twitter question about who my all-time favorite superheroes & super villains are, as well as talk about the current tv shows I’ve been watching. ENJOY!”
