Matt Hardy recently touched on a variety of topics, including the outstanding heel personas of Edge and Christian, during an episode of his “Extreme Life” podcast.
Here is a quick look at what he had to say:
Regarding his experience of collaborating with Edge and Christian, Hardy stated, “Jay and Edge are both phenomenal storytellers with brilliant wrestling minds. Collaborating with them was always an enriching experience because they’ve got brilliant ideas. Over the years, together, we’ve conceived many appealing scenarios, matches, and narrative concepts.”
As for Edge and Christian’s adeptness at embracing heel characters, Hardy shared that “Both Edge and Christian excel in understanding the essence of their characters. If designated as heels, they fully commit to the role. They don’t hesitate to portray the villain and shed their insecurities of coming across as the antagonist. They have a strong understanding of a heel’s job and consistently demonstrate an excellent performance when given that role. ”
The moments he shared paints a picture of Edge and Christian’s commitment to their roles and their deep understanding of the wrestling storytelling craft.
