On a recent episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”, professional wrestler Matt Hardy was posed with a question about whether his ‘Broken’ persona would ever contemplate aligning himself with The Judgment Day wrestling coalition. Hardy replied,
“Never discount any possibilities. The trajectory of the ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy persona is ever-shifting. Some observant fans may have picked up that I intermittently slip between the rhetoric of ‘Broken’ Matt and the more genuine voice of Matt Hardy. So, it is indeed transitioning a bit. I believe it’s time to explore this metamorphosis. As for The Judgment Day faction, their strategy does seem compelling, so there could conceivably be some fun to be had there.”
The Judgment Day faction is presently constituted by Damian Priest, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Carlito.
Hardy bid the WWE farewell in 2020 and proceeded to forge a path with AEW, although he did grace a recent episode of Monday Night RAW shot in his birthplace of North Carolina.
