The ROH World Championship, currently held by Chris Jericho, is set to be defended against Matt Cardona at the 2024 ROH Final Battle.
The confirmation for this showdown was given during this week’s broadcast of ROH TV, where it was stated that Jericho’s title defense would take place at the event scheduled for December 20th.
During a segment on the show called TV Time, Matt Cardona made his presence known by interrupting Chris Jericho. The Learning Tree had pledged to put the championship up for grabs against a competitor from New York.
Cardona then made his bold entrance, leading to Jericho incorrectly referring to him as “Zack (Ryder).”
Jericho was quickly corrected by Cardona, who reminded Jericho of his actual name. He also boldly announced his intention to come out as the new champion at the ROH Final Battle 2024.
