During a recent episode of “The Wrestling Matt” podcast, Matt Cardona reflected on his career, touching on a variety of subjects. One key aspect that garnered much attention was his 2012 WWE feud with Kane.
In particular, he shared his experience during a WWE RAW episode where he, while being in a wheelchair, was shoved off the stage set by Kane.
The poignant quotation that resonated was, “The wheel chair instance was great, I have to say. It continues to crop up even today, you know. Back then, I considered it to be part of the journey. I can see why it appeared as if it was a burial to others and yes, it did culminate, from a storyline perspective, in my television appearances being reduced. It felt as though my hard-earned achievements were being dismissed at that moment. However, as I previously said, I never approached Vince to clarify the issue, I wasn’t brave enough to ask what was happening at the time, and I take responsibility for that.”
