Matt Cardona, known by wrestling fanatics as ‘Indy God,’ has once more dropped hints of potentially making a comeback to WWE, specifically during the men’s Royal Rumble match slated for early 2025.
The news came out this week that the wrestling occasion on February 1 will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, following a grand agreement between WWE and the state’s representatives.
Cardona took to Twitter to imply his involvement in the event. He followed it up with a distinct message to independent promoters declaring his unavailability on the day of the Royal Rumble.
Attention independent promoters…
Regretfully, I must inform you I am committed elsewhere on February 1. Appreciate your understanding!#IndyGod

It’s worth mentioning that Cardona parted ways with the WWE back in April 2020. After that, he successfully reinvented his wrestling persona to the now-famous ‘Indy God.’ Although he’s been hinting at a WWE comeback, he has not yet made a reappearance.
This significant deal between WWE and Indiana will bring the 2025 Royal Rumble, along with future editions of WrestleMania and SummerSlam pay-per-view events, to the city’s Lucas Oil Stadium.
