This week’s episode of ROH TV and AEW Rampage saw Matt Cardona’s positioning for a title challenge against the reigning ROH World Title holder, Chris Jericho, at the Final Battle event.
Cardona made his presence felt during this week’s AEW Rampage episode, interrupting Jericho’s onstage talk. The verbal showdown between Jericho and Cardona, implying Cardona had been spared until that moment, heated up the atmosphere. A physical brawl was ignited from this heated encounter when Jericho landed a slap on Cardona. Bryan Keith ambushed Cardona, aiding Jericho. Cardona was finally brought down by Jericho who completed the onslaught by using his title belt to whip Cardona, intensifying their hostilities ahead of their impending match.
The ‘Winter is Coming’ special episode of AEW Rampage set to air on December 13th, also features Cardona.
