Marty Jannetty hopes to one day work with WWE and help train the Superstars of tomorrow alongside Shawn Michaels.
Jannetty and Michaels teamed for years as The Rockers before splitting in the early 1990s, and reunited briefly on WWE RAW in 2005.
Speaking during Wrestle Binge, Jannetty praised Michaels’ work with NXT and would love to join the two-time WWE Hall of Famer. He said,
“I could see that he had the knowledge and talent to be teaching younger guys. I would love to be there, my passion is to teach the younger guys.”
When Jannetty was asked about the best thing about teaming with Michaels, Marty admitted that they had the most fun away from the ring. He said,
“Parties. We would do every third week in Vegas, the showboat. We were young, we did a lot of things we shouldn’t do then. The parties with the extras in it, besides the alcohol. And Vegas is the place that never sleeps. Vegas is like, you open the door and there’s a party out there.”
Last September, it was reported that Jannetty was back in hospital and had to undergo ankle surgery.
