Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer, Mark Henry, recently entered into a WWE Legends Deal, which guarantees him future participation in WWE merchandising and possible guest appearances.

Recent discussions with “Ghost Bandit” revealed why Henry chose to enter into a contract agreement with WWE. His comments on the agreement were,

“What I’m doing with a nostalgia deal is WWE has relationships with Mattel and 2K, where they make the video games… That’s what that WWE deal entails. The right to use my name and likeness because I own it. They can’t use that without my permission because then they would be liable and I would sue them for monies for using what’s mine.”

In 2024, Henry decided to part ways with AEW, three years into his venture with the company. Since then, Henry has returned to the WWE television spotlight.

Henry’s decision to sign a fresh contract with WWE was influenced by his son, Jacob, who sealed a Next-In-Line (NIL) contract deal with WWE. Regarding his decision, Henry stated,

“I’m happy to do it because I have a son that is going to be wrestling, maybe my daughter now… I wanted to open the door and create another relationship so they could go in there and do well.”

While Henry’s daughter, Joanna, has not signed a contract with WWE to date, she’s been making significant strides in her high school state wrestling championships, indicating potential future involvement in the wrestling industry.
