In a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo, Mark Henry, a distinguished personality enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame, shared his experiences on carrying out his “Sexual Chocolate” persona in WWE. He also disclosed how Vince McMahon, the previous Chairman of WWE, thoroughly enjoyed this character.

Here’s a glimpse of what was discussed in the interview:

Addressing the topic of a character he didn’t wish to represent in WWE, Henry said: “I can’t recall of an instance where I was forced to execute that I solely didn’t resonate with, except for the ‘silverback’ concept they came up with. Renowned as a Black man in America, I have young Black children worldwide who look up to me. The last thing I want to do is represent myself as a primate.”

Regarding his “Sexual Chocolate” persona, Henry expressed, “The ‘Sexual Chocolate’ character was a thrilling experience. I had the time of my life portraying it.”

Expanding on Vincent McMahon’s thoughts about the persona, Henry said, “Vince once told me that ‘You’re the sole person I’ve ever met who enjoys losing.’ But the essence of the character is that he gets easily sidetracked by women, gets carried away by the moment… [Vince] would have the best laugh about this.”
