Professional wrestler Mark Henry foresees a chance that Shane McMahon could become a part of AEW, considering the current backstage atmosphere.
The rumor mill regarding McMahon’s potential membership with AEW has been abuzz since his engagement with Tony Khan in July.
While making a recent guest appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Henry mentioned that he sees significant value in having McMahon as a part of AEW.
The highlights of the discussion from the podcast can be reviewed below:
McMahon’s potential as an authoritative figure in the locker room: “Shane McMahon making the move and becoming an enforcing authority could be beneficial. If he is given a -5 million fee to take charge and command others, ‘If you want to play around with amateur leagues? The small local leagues are open. Follow my instructions or you can leave. I have resources to find someone who can replace you adequately’… That’s a necessity. AEW, as of now, lacks that stringent authority. There’s a void of power.”
Henry’s view on Tony Khan’s role and popularity amongst the team: “For me, it’s essential to like my superior. Above all, I want to hold my boss in regard. Primarily because he knows the art of distributive responsibility well.”
