Anticipations are high for CM Punk, in the main spotlight of WrestleMania 41(Night One).
On an episode of “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Mark Henry voiced out his enthusiasm for Punk spotlighting on the main event of WWE’s greatest show of the year. He argued,
“I am thrilled for Punk getting this chance. Dave, very few things surpass the opportunity to be the main event at WrestleMania. The list of those who have been in that spot is short. Being in that position signifies trust from the company, fans willing to spend their money to come and watch you, and it validates your standing among your fellow wrestlers as one of the elites. Punk’s career [after he headlines WrestleMania 41] will get validation. He is CM Punk, of course, but every bit of acknowledgement counts. Now, Punk is about to add another feather to his cap and this, I believe, will not only reward him professionally, but emotionally, as a wrestler. It is worth it.”
Chris Bey faced a serious neck injury last year resulting in temporary paralysis, but has made a recovery and is able to walk now.
In an episode of the “Vegas BadBoyz” podcast, Karrion Kross — a trainer and guide for Bey — expressed his distress on hearing the news, even to the point of experiencing a panic attack. He confessed,
“Indeed, I was shattered. I was in mid-flight when I received the news. I haven’t even informed Chris about this – I was in the air when the news reached me and I had a major panic attack, despite not being prone to them. For those who know him, he’s a tough kid. His stellar performances now, are nothing but a continuation of the impressiveness from his early days. He has a strong desire to learn and master things. His approach towards maintaining fitness, his practice, his mental strength – he’d be the last person I’d ever assume something like this would happen to. So, it hit me really hard when I heard about it.”
